Latvia, Finland, and Cyprus have been selected to host EuroBasket 2025, it was revealed today.

Latvia has also been chosen to host the final phase of the tournament.

Latvia hosted 12 European championships over several age groups over the last 15 years.

In 2015, Riga hosted the group phase of EuroBasket and that was the last time the competition was held in Latvia.

Latvia, Hungary, Russia, and Ukraine submitted bids for both the Group Phase and the Final Phase of the event while Cyprus and Finland only placed bids to organize the Group phase.

Russia’s bid was suspended due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

However, FIBA is entering exclusive discussions with Ukraine about potentially becoming a fourth host nation.
