The report for each player per the team’s release:

  • Nurkic – has had improvement in the condition of his left foot plantar fasciitis. Nurkic’s rehabilitation program has decreased his symptoms and increased the overall function of his left foot and ankle. He will continue his treatment and recovery program and will miss the remainder of the regular season. Nurkic played through symptoms of plantar fasciitis through February 16th of this season.
  • Simons – has missed the last 11 games with patellar tendinopathy in his left knee. His knee is responding well to treatment and rehab. He will be out the final two weeks of the regular season.
  • Bledsoe – received a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection on Wednesday March 23 to address the tendinopathy in his left Achilles tendon. He will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

In 56 games (all starts), Nurkic, 27, averaged 15.0 points, 11.1 rebounds (career-high) 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He will be an unrestricted free agent this off-season and it’s considered likely that he re-signs with the Trail Blazers.

In 57 games (30 starts) this season, Simons, 22, averaged career highs of 17.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He also averaged 3.1 made three-pointers per game, currently tied for eighth in the NBA. Simons will be a restricted free agent and like Nurkic, is considered a strong bet to re-sign with the Trail Blazers and form a backcourt duo with star Damian Lillard next season.

Bledsoe, 32, played 54 games (29 starts) for the Los Angeles Clippers this season, averaging 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He did not play a game with the Trail Blazers after they acquired him in a trade on Feb. 4 and is likely to be waived in the off-season.

Josh Hart, who has missed the team’s last four games with patellar tendinopathy in his left knee, will be reevaluated in one week, but at this point in the season, it’s likely that he won’t return to the court.
